754,000 plants, 20,000 tree guards, 63,000m2 jute matting.
Our client had an ambitious plan: revitalise the ecosystem in Huntley’s Forest Reach Estate, 20km south of Wollongong, transforming a former paddock into a living, breathing landscape. Our job? Participate in restoring a sensitive Environmental Management Zone, rehabilitating a creek, establishing stormwater catchments and creating a green space for generations of new families.
The initial scope included installing over 900,000 units in the space of 3 months. We were hungry for the challenge - Timberwolf was brought in to handle the volume, complexity and urgency. We got our boots on the ground and we showed up ready to go.
Our client didn’t just hand us a planting schedule, they pulled us in early. Before the first plant hit the ground, we were already working side by side with them on logistics, resourcing and programming.
We flagged potential choke points and made sure the crew was in the right place at the right time. That groundwork gave us the edge to hit the ground running, with a clear path already mapped out.
From day 1, the site threw curveballs:
Bad weather slowed the client’s groundwork down and consequently our team
Asbestos and heritage artefacts delayed site access
We brought in between March and August 2025:
Up to 15 skilled plants on site at peak demand
Over 754,000+ viros/hikos plants
63,000+m2 of jute matting
20,000+ tree guards
Our work didn’t just help our client meet their targets. We turned a planting contract into a long-term relationship. We get the job done right and on time.
